I'm Steve, your host. I grew up in New England, and I enjoy having four seasons. I've always lived near a body of water. Summers were spent at a 4-H camp in New Hampshire, where I fell in love with cabin life. It's a real cabin and very comfortable. I searched for two years at Lake Arrowhead until I found the perfect cabin. My guests agree it does not look or feel like a rental property. My home is your home! Welcome!

Spring Break in the Mountains
We had a great stay in Steves lovely mountain cabin. Perfect escape for our family of 4 and our pug. The location was fantastic and the expansive backyard for perfect for mild sledding before driving to larger hills. The layout of the cabin was conducive to the entire family gathering together or having the opportunity for some time apart with both living room and den fully equipped for an evening of game playing or watching TV. Like stepping back in time.

The History of Lake Arrowhead
Steve Tyler was a great host, even checked in to ensure everything was running smoothly, via text. When we walked in, it felt as though we stepped back in time, from the early 1900’s to the Kool of the 80’s (kids were excited). Plenty of items to do with the kids, access to Lake Arrowhead was a bit challenging, yet Steve has that all down. Also only 15-20 minutes down the hill is Lake Gregory, cabana options and an awesome floating playground on site, highly recommended if you have kids and it warm/hot. If your in to an insane burger and a shake or malt, a must is the Malt Shop. Steve, thanks for the great experience and having the game Skip-Bo on hand, we had a blast. Rustic Cabin
We loved staying in the Steve's rustic cabin. It was so much fun for a girls' weekend - loved the games, kitchen and hot tub! The only thing was that we didn't realize that it was very hard to get to the Lake and access is limited so it wasn't as much of a lake weekend as we had planned. Cozy Cabin in woodsy area
We had a great time. Steve was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. The cabin is charming in a woodsy setting. We enjoyed sitting in the back yard which is where we ate and full of shade, lots of trees. We also enjoyed the hot tub at night which was always a perfect way to end the day. 4th of July Holiday Weekend!
Steve offers a quaint rustic cabin in the arrowhead woods area near Cedar Glen of Lake Arrowhead. His cabin is complete with a wonderful backyard for entertaining. I had hoped to entertain family and guests at my families cabin, but with the amenities such as barbecue, jacuzzi and outdoor seating and dining area, we decided to cook at Steve's place instead. Adorable cabin, great host, and soothing jacuzzi
Our family of three and two dogs needed a quick getaway to recharge, and this utterly charming, comfy cabin fit the bill. The terrific host felt like a family friend by the end with his warm and caring responses and good humor. The house is clearly well cared for, with everything we could need, great decor, and functionality along with fun antiques. The surrounding neighborhood is full of sweet homes with lots of character, shopping is nearby, and we nature lovers found a blissful hike with gorgeous, serene views an easy twenty minute drive up the main highway. This cabin wins the charm award
We had the best 24 hour stay at Steve’s amazing home. I don’t think there is a cabin more charming than this one—it oozes character but still manages to be super comfortable. This is not one of those newly flipped homes just to put on vrbo, but clearly a much loved cabin and for good reason. While the pictues are accurate, they don’t really convey the spaciousness of the house and the yard. Our six year old loved the game room (be sure to check out the closet full of games and goodies!) and our dogs felt right at home with the chest full of dog toys. The cabin is so cozy and charming while still having plenty of room for 5 adults and a toddler. The kitchen is well supplied with a beautiful retro feel. The Perfect Cozy Getaway
Overall, my friends and I had an incredible stay at Steve’s location. The cabin is a little more spacious than the pictures made it seem with a large living room and large game room (comfortably fit 7 people). All the bedrooms were upstairs which was nice for a larger group and allowed for individuals to head to bed early, undisturbed by others that wanted to stay up a little later. The jacuzzi was great and the outdoor area looked spacious (we stayed inside due to weather). Although the Cabin was great the real highlight was the host himself. Steve was efficient, communicative, knowledgeable, and kind throughout our whole stay. Bad weather made the start of the stay a bit complicated and Steve provided info for a safe travel and was flexible and generous given the circumstances. Truly a one of a kind host and guy! Magical time!
This was our first time away since becoming a family of 5 (which includes our adorable pup), and we had such great time in this special place! Lovely stay at Steve's cabin
We had a great stay at Steve's cabin! The cabin itself is really cozy and accommodated 5 adults well. Lots of charm and character – it was exactly what we were looking for! The beds were comfortable and there was lots of space to have separate quiet time. The back patio and grill was great for dining with the family. And we really loved the spa. Steve is super communicative and accommodating – he was really responsive to all of our questions and tried his best to solve any issues that arose. Of course the one major thing is that Lake Arrowhead is a private lake, so we didn't have access to any beaches. Definitely something to consider if you're planning a trip to the area. But Steve was really helpful in recommending alternatives – we went to Lake Gregory for the day which was a great little swimming lake. We also took a beautiful hike near Dogwood Campground and ate at the Stone Creek Bistro, which was one of the best meals we've had in a while. What a beautiful and well maintained old cabin! We enjoyed many of the unique touches, including the gorgeous stove/oven and the new fireplace. Cozy getaway cabin
The cabin was great, very clean and large. The hot tub was clean and easy to access, the fireplace was also a nice amenity. The host has good recommendations for the local food spots and good instructions for how to enjoy the house. We couldn't figure out how to work the thermostat, the space heaters did a sufficient job of warming the bedroom but not the rest of the house. This charming cabin is situated on a quiet street within walking distance of Lake Arrowhead; perfect for hiking along the lake trails. Tranquil retreat for our family
We had a wonderful 3 night stay in Steve’s charming cabin over Spring Break. It was a little slice of Heaven and break from our busy lives. We enjoyed the ease of walking to the lake from the house and quietness of this location. The spa and massage chair were also a lovely benefit to the house, along with the awesome bar and and the cool pics of his famous friends he had in his study were a nice touch;) Our dog loved having the space in the back-we just had to keep an eye on him as the yard isn't fenced and he loves to chase squirrels. Great vintage cabin!
This cabin was described correctly...vintage! Brought back great memories learning how to cook on a similar 1950's stove. There was plenty of room for the six of us to spread out individually yet come together for family meals. The kids enjoyed playing bartender in the bar area--they had never seen a dial phone so we had to show them how it was used! There was no snow but we had fun anyway. The most beautiful cabin
If you're looking for cozy cabin character then this is IT! I love interiors and I find so many cabin rentals are lacking character and charm... not Steve's place! It is absolutely gorgeous and I agree with so many guests that the pictures just dont do it justice. Shoot- I should have taken some for you Steve! LOL Seriously though, this cabin has everything you need. Its also impeccably clean. My kids even nicknamed it the "three little bears house." They were even enamored with its charm. Its so so cozy, and you know what? We could even walk to dinner! Steve's recommendations were great. We really loved Lou Eddy's pizza (the Mexican restaurant next door also very good), the Grill at the Antlers Inn (we ordered takeout there but the inside was really beautiful) and we liked lunch at the taproom over at the lake. We even had dinner at the steakhouse down the street and found that to be tasty. A couple things to note if you're considering this home with your kids. After we booked we received a contract to sign- kids are not allowed in the jacuzzi. So... if you're booking this home because it has a jacuzzi and you have kids (like we did) you need to know this. And if bringing your pup you will also need to crate it when leaving. This was something we found out after booking. The property is also not fenced. Not a big deal for some dog owners, but for us it was a negotiation for who would be on "potty duty" in the mornings lol. Because of this I don't think we would bring our dog again. All that being said- this home is just so beautiful and cozy and Steve is a wonderful host! Quick to respond and so friendly. If you book his home you won't be disappointed. Perfect house for family fun!
First of all Steve was the best host I have done business with. He was so kind and made sure we didn’t need anything. He even hung a birthday banner for our daughter! Perfect Family Get Away From Everything Weekend!
The property was perfect for all of us from the time we pulled in the driveway til the time we left. Easy driveway access so carrying things in was a breeze. Opened the door to just what we expected and better, his pics are true to the cabin. Enjoyed the quietness of the massage chair room. The bedrooms were large and had very comfy beds. The decor is delightful especially in the kitchen, loved all the red. The game room was filled with games and the laundry room was filled with everything we needed for snow play (snowman kit, a sled and snowball scoopers were the 3 favs for my family) The only thing is both showers are on the small size but we managed just fine. The front and back yard have trees to set the mood but gave us ample space to play and build snowmen. Our 2 dogs loved the place too and felt right at home. Steve was so kind and helpful though out the process. A tiny misunderstanding happened prior to us arriving and Steve agreed to meet me in the middle which made me happy and gave me a good feeling before we even arrived. Steve even hung a Happy Birthday sign for my Hubby, which was a nice surprise. He answered all my questions while I was there via text message quickly and was very friendly. I would definitely recommend his place and would return for another winter wonderland weekend or even stay during the summer as the location seemed perfect for either type trip. Thanks for your food suggestions and the toddler hill suggestion for my grand daughter to go sledding. You were the best host. I have to say Michael, Steve's maintenance guy was also amazing!!! Without going into long detail, he went above and beyond to help our family out with chains and issues we had our first night that had nothing to do with the cabin and everything to do with the weather. Charming cabin in a beautiful neighborhood
We really enjoyed this charming cabin with much of its original character from the 30s. Plenty of room, and great usable spaces! We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi next to all the trees and walking in the Palisades neighborhood. The owner was very nice and so easy to communicate with!Stayed 3 nights in Feb 20210

Perfect Cabin! Stop Looking & Book Now.
We absolutely loved this place! This is our second time here and it was as good as the first. First, the owner is the greatest guy - so accommodating. It was Valentine's Day weekend and Steve left us a good bottle of wine. So thoughtful. We watched Netflix while sharing some cheese, crackers. and grapes. Next, this is a great location in Cedar Glen near shopping (for me. you can relax in the big hot tub under the stars (for both of us), plus cook your own meals in a cozy kitchen with beautiful red retro stove and all needed amenities. The rustic chic decorations here are retro cabin-style perfect! We were just two and only used one bedroom, kitchen, and the living room. But if you bring family, there's three bedrooms, a cute office, a family room, plus the living room with comfy sofa and chair right in front of the fireplace (with a dining table too). Best mountain getaway ever!
Our family and dog stayed at this cabin for 3 nights about 5 days after a massive 2ft snowfall and had one of the best short vacations of our lives. The exterior of this cabin is surrounded by tall 100 year old maple and fir trees that are home to dozens of squirrels and blue jays that will welcome you to your vacation stay. This cabin is the quintessential lake house that feels like you’ve been given the keys to another family’s cornerstone gem. 1920s architectural details and decorative touches are scattered throughout this cabin and you’ll find new things each day that make you smile. There is great wifi throughout the house and 6 smart roku TVs so your family can all spend time together watching movies or find your own space to unwind. Our dog felt right at home the minute we walked in and enjoyed the chest of dog toys and good vibes. Cutest Cabin ever
Spent last weekend at Steve's cabin. It was soo nice and clean, we loved it! The kitchen has everything you can ever need, we did LOTS of cooking and baking! The hot tub is perfect for a cold snowy day and Steve was so quick to respond and help us out with anything that we needed. I can't wait to stay here again.Stayed 2 nights in Jan 20210

A little slice of up north heaven
Steve was a very gracious and sweet host. He was super responsive and was able to make our stay in his beautiful cabin a delightful one. It is very spacious for our family of five and dog. He truly thought of everything even down to the snowman kits, sleds, and dog treats! He even helped coordinate the snow removal for us and knew of great sledding hills a walk from the cabin. Super Cozy Cabin Getaway
Our family of six (kids ages 8, 11, 12 & 13) enjoyed a 3-night stay in Steve's cabin and we were so impressed with its rustic charm! We'd hoped for snow, but made the most of our stay hiking, playing board games, fishing and playing outdoors. We relaxed on the back porch while the kids rode their bikes around the neighborhood. We explored the trails with our pup, Karl. The cabin had everything we needed, the beds were comfy and their was plenty of room for us to spread out or hang together. Great cabin!
They just don’t make cabins like this anymore! His place was perfect for our family. I worked from the office during the day, our kids played in the “play room” and the hot tub worked great. PERFECT cabin
I have stayed in many cabins over the years in Arrowhead, Big Bear, Mammoth, etc. This will be the first one I ever return to! Not that all have been terrible - they are all usually "fine." But this one was really perfect. SO SO CLEAN and functional. Heaters worked great, lots of comfy blankets everywhere. Very well stocked kitchen (with COVID, we cooked all meals for 5 people for 4 days no problem). This cabin is clearly set up for the owner to enjoy themselves - all the comforts. The cabin is very large - more rooms than most which was great because we had one in online school and one online working. I will say I think it would be tough to SLEEP 8 as it suggests - one king, 2 twins and 2 fulls. But the fulls are small and there is only one tiny bathroom upstairs with all the bedrooms. 8 people would be a challenge. But for the 5 of us (plus large pup), it was perfect. I agree with your guest count. Guess what? The county has me listed for 10 guests legally. No way - but they do. I think 6 is perfect also, so I compromised and list, as some people do sleep on the sofa (me). I'm thinking some time of putting a rollaway in the office and a sofa bed in the game room, which would be more beds, but then there's less goof around the room. Designed so everyone could have a space to call their own, plus sleeping space. The upstairs bathroom is small, but the downstairs makes up for that I think. But most of all - I try hard to accommodate everyone's possible needs and obviously you got that. Thank you for "getting it, and mentioning it" for being wonderful guests, and I'd be thrilled to have you all back anytime! Mi casa es sou casa... :)

Recommended - Great place
Rooms are spacious, has spa, fireplace, game closet, laundry, separate living spaces for teens/family members to get away from each other. :-) Lovely walk to town, beautiful lake just a few blocks away. Great time in cozy cabin!
My family and I, along with our fur babies, had an amazing time in this cozy, vintage cabin. We were lucky enough to get snow while we were there, which made it all the more memorable. Steve was a great host and was readily available to us whenever we needed him. Great cabin retreat!

Perfect cabin, great location!
Steve’s cabin is beautiful and stocked with everything you need for an easy trip away. We brought our two young kids that were entertained with the toy closet, and also enjoyed Netflix movies while my husband and I cooked dinner. It was also great not to have to pack a crate for our dog as one is provided here. The home is close to Lake Arrowhead Village which was super convenient. Thanks for everything! Great rustic cabin!
We had a great getaway this past weekend. Everything was where the owner said it would be. Clear directions and all the amenities were as they stated. The only downside is CA had a heat wave this past weekend and the home was a little warm. I imagine that is never an issue most of the time. Mountain getaway
BEAUTIFUL! What a ridiculously cool cabin in an excellent location! So close to the lake in a gorgeous neighborhood. Walking distance to the market! This adorable cabin is STOCKED. Really neat collection of books and everything you could want in the kitchen. The beds were SO comfy. And what a treat to go on vacay with our dogs! Ideal Arrowhead Locale
This is an amazingly clean, charming and stocked cabin in an excellent neighborhood in Arrowhead Lake. Quiet and woodsy - comfortable and convenient! Anything you want from waffle-makers to a propane barbecue to the most quaint and exceedingly functional appliances in a ridiculously well stocked kitchen! Cabin is close to all the mountain sites and activities and the outdoor patio and spa, made the evenings and breakfasts so magical! vintage lake arrowhead get away
Steve's lake 1926 lake Arrowhead cabin was a vintage dream! Maintained and decorated with a perfectionist's eye this cabin stay was so relaxing. Such a gorgeous cabin, the photos do not do it justice! It is a combination of vintage and luxury. The bath and sink fixtures have been updated tastefully so the shower was a divine experience. The beds were soft and well appointed and there were soft cushy white robes provided in each bedroom. The sunken den was so cozy for movie watching and well stocked with games. Steve was easy to get a hold of with any questions and the relaxing and charming vibe in the cabin and at Lake Arrowhead in general inspired me to invest in my own piece of vintage heaven at the Lake. This was one of my all time favorite home rental experiences and I have taken the time to find a lot of special places over the years. Birthday Getaway from San Diego
Steve's cabin is immaculately clean and cozy! We ended up bringing all our own food and cooked there for most meals with the exception of LouEddie's (yum!) which was easy to do in the well stocked kitchen. The hot tub, games, puzzles, and snacks were nice additions. Our family enjoyed hiking at Heart Rock as well as enjoyed the small beach down trail #7 or #9 going to the right. We wanted to use the kayaks and paddle boards, but didn't realize you need a boating license to do so, so would encourage anyone else to be prepared for that prior to your trip but Steve has all the necessary gear including floats and life vests that you could think of. We had a wonderful time!!
Steve is the host with the most! The cabin is super cozy and very pet friendly, there are dog food bowls, tons of dog toys, treats in the pantry, and even a large crate. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, all of the AC units worked perfectly, and the kitchen is fully stocked. There are a TON of inflatables to use on the lake, and a closet full of board games...we played Cards Against Humanity. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi, and when the internet was down, Steve made sure someone came out the next day to fix it. We totally recommend this cabin! Stayed 3 nights in Jul 20200More reviews
